Eco artist Sarah Marsh, works with recycled materials and experiments with colour and surfaces to help you and your students look at everyday objects in a different and conceptual way. Use wire to explore shape and form then cast objects in tissue paper and embellish them with stitching to create abstract sculptures.
"We have been shown different ways of looking at art – all ways are valid. There is no right or wrong, you can do what you want and this way new things appear."
Year 7 student, Levenshulme High School.
"Sarah presented us with a variety of opportunities to experiment with different techniques. I will be using parts this residency with my BTEC groups next year and indeed my GCSE groups. There was a clear link to the work we did and the ideas behind the artists work. The work created and the experience as a whole will benefit the students academically but also especially with the Year 7 students, it has awakened an interest in them."
Teacher, Newall Green High School.
