Heroes in a Small World

Let children's life experiences inspire a tour of our gallery. Using drama and interactive techniques, pupils explore paintings through the themes of heroes, relationships and identity. The concept of 'small worlds' allows pupils to create stories using story boxes.

Pupils examine the similarities and differences between homes, past and present. Stories are created to examine how life has changed looking at buildings and objects within the gallery’s collections.

My First Visit

This introduction to the gallery looks at paintings, videos, ceramics and costumes from the theme of nature. Pupils experiment with mixed media to create their own masterpiece.
