Lesbian & Gay Action Plan

Aims

1. To continue to develop our public programmes for lesbian and gay people.
2. To ensure that monitoring, evaluation and review of this plan takes place on a regular basis.

Aim 1 - To continue to develop our public programmes for lesbian and gay people.

Action - To monitor the exhibition, displays and events programme in terms of lesbian and gay issues.

What will this action achieve? Help to ensure that long-term development of displays and exhibitions reflects issues relevant to lesbian and gay people.

Aim 2. To ensure that monitoring, evaluation and review of this plan takes place on a regular basis.

Action 2.1 - Continue to use the Departmental Equality Group to raise lesbian and gay issues around service delivery and monitor progress on audits and action plans.

Action 2.2 - Investigate possibility of setting up joint lesbian and gay staff group with Libraries.

What will this action achieve? Increased support and development for gay and lesbian staff. Increased awareness of lesbian and gay issues among staff.
